Hope Farms Earth Day Festival Houston | 10th Anniversary
Mark your calendar: Saturday, April 25, 2026 | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Hope Farms | 10401 Scott Street, Houston, TX
The Hope Farms Earth Day Festival Houston is how we’re celebrating a major milestone — 10 years of growing food, community, and education in southeast Houston.
Ten years ago, a seven-acre plot in southeast Houston became something remarkable — a working urban farm growing fresh food, nutrition education, and community all at once. On April 25, 2026, we’re throwing the biggest birthday party Hope Farms has ever seen, and you’re invited.
Whether you’re a longtime friend of the farm or showing up for the first time, this Earth Day festival has something for everyone in Houston. Come hungry, curious, and ready to dig in.
What to Expect at the Hope Farms Earth Day Festival Houston
🌱 Gardening Classes & Farm Tours
Explore the Chef’s Garden on a guided tour and pick up practical tips you can use at home — from building healthy soil to growing your own food in Houston’s climate. These sessions are perfect for beginner gardeners and seasoned urban farmers alike.
🌱 Cooking Classes & Chef Demonstrations
Houston chefs take the (outdoor) stage for hands-on cooking demos using fresh ingredients harvested right here at the farm. Learn healthy meal prep techniques that make eating well feel easy and delicious.
🌱 Makers & Market
Shop a curated lineup of local Houston artisans, food vendors, and makers. Find fresh Hope Farms produce, handmade gifts, boutique food products, and local author books — all in one beautiful farm setting.
🌱 Kids’ Activities
The Children’s Garden comes alive with arts and crafts, upcycling stations, a farm scavenger hunt, and haiku poetry writing. Kids will leave with dirt on their hands and a new love for where food comes from.
🌱 Movement on the Lawn
Unroll your mat, take a breath, and join yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates, or dance sessions on the farm lawn. There’s no better backdrop for a wellness reset than Houston’s own urban farm.
10 Years of Growing Food, Community & Education in Houston
Since opening in 2016, Hope Farms has become a cornerstone of healthy food access in southeast Houston — an area that has long lacked fresh, affordable produce. Through the Seed-to-Plate Nutrition Education™ program, urban agriculture training, and seasonal events, the farm has touched thousands of Houston families.
Here’s a glimpse of what a decade looks like:
- Thousands of students and community members reached through nutrition education
- Seasonal festivals, cooking classes, and First Saturday Markets
- Urban farming and food entrepreneurship training for adults
- A thriving community hub where Houstonians grow, cook, and connect
The 10th Birthday & Earth Day Festival is a celebration of all of it — and a look ahead at what the next decade holds.
