April's First Saturday Market: An Earth Day Celebration to Remember

The April First Saturday Market transformed our community space into a vibrant celebration of Earth Day! Visitors were treated to an array of eco-conscious activities and local treasures.

Our Garden Haiku Writing Contest brought out the poet in everyone, with participants crafting nature-inspired verses amid the spring blooms. Meanwhile, Chef Bao Ong delighted attendees with an interactive spring roll workshop, sharing techniques for creating these fresh, seasonal delicacies.

The younger visitors enjoyed dedicated children’s activities, learning about environmental stewardship through play and creativity. A true highlight was watching our Artist-in-Residence, Anat Ronen, at work on her stunning mural installation. This masterpiece will be officially unveiled on April 22nd—Earth Day—marking the culmination of our month-long celebration.

Of course, no market would be complete without farm-fresh produce, and local growers didn’t disappoint, offering seasonal bounty straight from the earth we were gathered to honor.
