Vegetable of the Month: Beets
Beets are a great source of potassium and nitrates, both of which help to lower blood pressure.
Don’t throw out those beet greens – they’re edible, too! Toss them in a salad, sauté them with some olive oil or even blend them up in a green smoothie.
