Celebrate Earth Day at First Wednesday Market

Join us from 4:00 to 7:00 on April 6, 2022 as we celebrate Earth Day during our First Wednesday market, complete with children’s activities, marvelous vendors, entertainment, a haiku contest and prizes.  And we will salute the Green Mountain Energy Sun Club as we unveil the new rainwater capture system they have gifted the farm. 

In the true spirit of Earth Day’s inspiration to Recycle, Reduce and Reuse, our new system will redirect over 95,000 gallons of rainwater typically shed from the Gathering Barn’s roof every year and put it to use irrigating our crops, washing our produce and empowering a wildlife habitat.  We will even be able to safely drink our repurposed water thanks to the sophisticated filtering system designed and installed by Stirling Electric and Irrigation. 

A schedule of cooking and gardening classes will fill the evening along with farm fun and distractions.
